Uh-oh.........elder visit tomorrow.

i was gone all day today, and when i returned dave told me an elder and his wife had called on mom today, and when he left, he approached dave in the yard, and arranged to come here tomorrow after their meeting, with another elder to talk to the two of us.. the noose is tightening.

we are babysitting the grandkids, so haven't been able to talk about strategy.. stay tuned..............i'll update you tomorrow afternoon.

I'm a black or white thinker so gray areas like this send my mind to smokin if I think about it too hard.

He wasn't in prison, and he had 4 yrs. probation, so they saw him as a kid that could be set on the right path with some supervision. On the other hand, he had an obligation and responsibility to carry out, which he was choosing not to do. He chose that punishment as a plea bargain and should have been carrying it out. He is wrong by not doing that. Now............................

He put himself in great danger of death to save the lives of 4 children. That takes someone very special, to not only once but twice go into a raging fire. Debt to society?, "PAID IN FULL". Let the judge get the paper work done, punishment, time served. Go and sin no more my son.

Spring is here but...

today is april 27th, but it's still so cool outside.

here in quebec, it's been raining all april.

we had a long and cold winter, and i was anxious for spring, but it's very discouraging.. .

Spring has sprung here in Kentucky. It was a long cold wet winter wasn't it?

Everything is in bloom here, but we did have a frost last week. Once the geese come it cant be far behind, JH.

Ozzie, so I take it the bush fires are all history? It's fall there isn't it? Keep safe with the storms coming.

this is weird.

on sunday steve replaced the cleaning cartridge on his new braun shaver.

it fits into a stand and self cleans using a cartridge full of some sort of cleaning solution.

Maybe you could have the gas & electric company come out while you do it to see what there meters read. That way you can have documentation from another source if they don't take you seriously this time. Maybe it isn't carbon monocide but something that the meter is picking up as such.

this last week i been off work with a raging toothache, and believe me its been rough, had to phone work and explain that i couldn't eat and how i was on antibiotics for a suspected abcess, and wouldn't be in for a further week whilst i got myself sorted at the dentist etc etc.(genuine).

however last evening i was starving and had to shoot down to the local mcdonalds to satisfy a high fat cholesterol urge i had, just as i walked out there was my bosses boss, the director of nursing in the queue behind me, oh she said, glancing at my bag of quarter pounder with cheese and fries, sandy (my immediate boss) said you have been unwell with your mouth and couldn't eat, nice to see you're feeling better.

see you back to work soon then......... no amount of back-peddling could get me out of that one....... ever been totally caught out like that?

You did nothing wrong, you are allowed to eat when you are sick. You could have let them know about the miracle of antibiotics and how it has taken much of the pain away so you can finally get some nurishment. Running to McDonalds for a few minutes is a little differant then standing on your feet and having to perform for 8 hours at work. An infection can ware you out quickly. So you are on the mend, you still have the dentist to deal with right? Sorry you didn't get to enjoy your Big Mac. I've had abcesses before, they are no fun. Get well soon.

we've all heard different stories floating around our congregations of different ones(bible studies, or brothers or sisters) having an encounter or 'problems' with demons.

what was your favorite?.

Back in the mid 70's my cousin was married to a man (both raised JW) who got some sort of progressive nerve disease. A few months after the diagnosis my cousin went to the store, when she got home her husband had apparently committed suicide with a large sword he had. The story was he faught with demons because he was stabbed 3 times. He did'nt have the strength to do it himself and he would not have been able to stab himself 3 times. The sword was demonized. They didn't have a funeral for him but we all went to a family members house a few weeks later for a memorial. Could it be he was NOT deserving of a JW funeral because he was attacked by "DEMONS"?

Curious about Abortion Stand Now

ok this is not to say that only jws are anti-abortion or that persons are not capable of fluctuating on this issue for reasons other than orthodox jw reasons or completely unrelated to them, *phew*.

but what i was wondering and my question for the exjws here is this: .

I am pro choice. I can not tell another woman what to do with her body. There are many women who are better off not being pregnant and bringing a human being into their life. I myself could not abort a baby, I could not allow it to be a choice for my 15 year old daughter (we went the route of open adoption, my first grandbaby is a beautiful, happy, healthy and very loved 10 1/2 year old girl). I have to admit that an abortion would have solved alot of problems and heartache but I didn't feel that a life should be taken for my daughters mistake. There are many more options with adoption now then there used to be.

I do not think that abortion should be used as a form of birth control, in place of self control. Accidents do happen with the best of precautions and for the most part people make the best of it, but there are times that pregnancy is not an option and I am happy for the ones that can make it safely.
